September 15th, 2005: - Samuel Dalembert is extending his humanitarian efforts to the victims of Hurrican Katrina. He will take part in the NBPA and WNBPA's "Feed the Children" in "Operation Rebound."
The "Feed the Children" in "Operation Rebound" a relief effort aims to provide food and assistance to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
August 5-13th, 2005: The Sixers signed Deng Gai and Shavlik Randolph, traded Marc Jackson, waived Aaron McKie, and signed Steven Hunter.
August 2nd, 2005: - Samuel signed a $58M 6-year deal with the 76ers.
July 25th, 2005: - Samuel Dalembert came to terms with the team on a new six-year contract late last night. Marc Cornstein, the agent for Dalembert, confirmed that it is a six-year deal, but would not give contract figures. The deal is believed to be between $50 and $80 million.
July 19th, 2005: - Billy King want re-sign Samuel at any price "Sam's a free agent, he has every right to pursue his options," King said. "We've made a fair offer. He'll be in Philadelphia whether it's at our price or someone else's price." However, "Cornstein and Dalembert have accepted an invitation to meet with the Atlanta Hawks next Monday." July 15th, 2005: - again with Basketball without Borders, but this time in Asia, Samuel will give instructions with Kyle Korver and Tony Parker to young players (July, 14-17). Official site.
July 13th, 2005: - according to the NY post, the Sixers and Samuel would agree for a $70-75M-6years deal... But it's just a rumor...
July 4th, 2005: - The second annual Basketball without Borders take place from June 30-July 4 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. And like past year, Samuel joined the team. Official site.
July 1st, 2005: - according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, "No fewer than six other teams are believed to be interested in getting Dalembert. That could drive his price up into the $5 million-a-year range if not higher."
June 29th, 2005: - Philadelphia picked Louis Williams in the Draft yesterday.
June 28th, 2005: - Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced June 28 that the Sixers have extended a qualifying offer to center Samuel. The offer provides the 76ers with the right to match any other NBA team’s offer for Dalembert.
